This story has a little bit of a backstory to it. So, after college in 2013, my brother, Thomas, and his now wife, Samantha moved to a small town in south Louisiana called Plaquemine. Here is where they befriended the Poche family because they had moved in right next door. Moving to a town where they did not know anyone, Thomas and the Poche's became close friends. At this time in my life I was working weekends as a bartender. So everytime my parents would make a weekend trip to go see my brother, I could never attend because I was working. My parents made quite a few trips down south to see Thomas and that is how they became friends with the Poche Family. They practically watched Chett grow up over the next 5 years on their weekend trips down to visit Thomas. 

It was April of 2018 when my parents decided to take another trip down to see Thomas. I was conviently off work that weekend so I wanted to tag along and go with them. So, we packed light and headed down south. After we arrived and settled in, Thomas wanted to teach me how to shoot a bow. So I threw on a big baggy T-shirt, workout leggings, and flip flops and outside we went. After about an hour of learning and shooting I was ready to a break. So we went inside to relax and there was a knock at the door. It was Chett and his Dad, Mr. Mike! This was my very first time meeting Chett and his dad. All I knew was this really really cute little blonde headed guy in a green Plaquemine High shirt was introducing himself to me and there I was looking like a hobo in my baggy T-shirt, no makeup, and messy hair. I was so embarassed. After introducing myself, I hurrily grabbed Samantha and into her room we went. I told her I was desperate for a different T-shirt and while she got me one I attempted to do something with my hair. After changing I went back out into the livingroom with everyone to talk. They didn't stay very long before heading back home but they said we should come over later to their "camp" that was right next door.

A couple hours later we all walked over to the camp and there was Chett and Mr. Mike. Mr. Mike was playing match maker and suggested that Chett take me and show me around this "haunted" camp. I don't do ghosts, and I was with this really handsome guy so I told him I was kinda freaked out and I grabbed his arm and help it the whole time he was showing me around. After the tour of the camp we were preparing to leave and I told Chett he should add me on snapchat. From there we began messaging and that is where our love story began! We would then swap phone numbers and I can remember texting him the whole way home that Sunday! I was really into him and was even planning a trip down to see him again the following weekend, which I did and that is when we went on our official first date. The rest is history and look at us now! Soon to be MARRIED!!
