Bride

Jan. 12, 2010, begins this story. That day was our one year anniversary. We both got time off work to go to the parks that day. So we went Magic Kingdom! I will tell you that I was clueless. I wanted to shop that day since I was going home for a weekend. I remember sitting by the teacup and I kept saying I wanted to go down to the shop by the gate of the park and Jacob kept making excuses up. I knew he had dinner planned somewhere but I wasn’t sure. Then he said we can go and walked towards the castle and then I knew where we were going to dinner. I was so exited to get to eat in the castle! We got our picture taken with Cinderella and went up the spiral stair case where they took us to our seats. We sat down and our water came and we ordered our food. After dinner they cleared the whole entire table. Weird I thought. But then the server comes out with a white place with a white dome on it. They lifted the lid and there I saw a bed of roses with a glass slipper engraved, and the last thing I noticed was the ring sitting inside the shoe. Jacob came around and then asked me to marry him and I said yes!

Groom

Well we were enjoying our time in Florida, and our one year anniversary was coming up. I knew that we had only been dating for a year but I already knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I talked to my mother about it and wanted to know what she thought. She told me that she loved Maria and that if I truly thought she was the one that I should go for it. The only problem was that I was at an externship and I wasn’t making enough money for a wedding ring, but my mother came to the rescue. She gave me the diamond from her very own ring to make a new engagement ring. That’s when I started planning on how to propose, there was a renaissance fest nearby and I contacted them, we had it planned that I would dress up in one of their knight outfits and ride out to propose in the middle of the show and it would have worked perfectly because Maria would have never seen the show so she wouldn’t of know what was happening. But of course she ended up going with her friends and I had to scrap that plan. I then talked to my chef and he put me in contact with the chef at one of Disney’s greatest restaurants, Cinderella’s Royal Table, the restaurant in Cinderella’s Castle. We came up with a plan that we would come to eat, and after we ordered I would go to the bathroom and give the ring to the manager. After our dinner, it was time for dessert. They brought out her plate with a cover over top and told her that the chef had a special dessert for her. When they took the cover off on a bed of roses was a glass slipper with engravings of the date, our names, and “Happily Ever After”. And on the inside of the slipper was the ring around a rose. I got down on my knees and proposed. They had a photographer taking pictures the whole time. They then brought out non-alcoholic champagne to toast our engagement. It was the greatest moment of my life.
