As you may be able to guess Kristin had some input on the engagement ring and Johnny knowing her as he does knew this would be best! While Kristin knew the basics of the ring - a rub over beveled setting so she can work with babies without any scratches and of course the purple sapphire - she had no clue when it would be ready.  Due to the timing to get out the announcements and Kristin’s type A planning the engagement photos were scheduled already.

In cahoots with our wonderful engagement photographer, Chelsey Hanlon, Johnny still managed to surprise Kristin.  Chelsey nonchalantly suggested a “pretend proposal” pose down by the lake.  Kristin thought this would be a cute pose and after several minutes Johnny found a rather clean place to kneel (lots of goose poop).  Then Johnny pulled out Kristin’s ring and proposed.  Thus, we are blessed to have several pictures of the actual proposal!  (Go to the 'Photo Albums' link and then to the drop down selection 'Our Engagement')
