Bride

I met Zach in 2005 in Memphis TN. His best friend Christopher "The Cool Cat" Newell and my best friend Shanetria "NeNe" Vasser were friends and saw their besties were single. They BEGGED & BEGGED us to go on a blind date but we both said NO for at least two months. They gave us each others numbers and we talked on the phone. We chatted, but it was awkward to talk to someone you've never met before. By the end of the second month we were talking 24-7! He was something "new" he didn't act like most other guys. He was sweet~ didn't try to act "hard" all of the time, he worked hard and played hard and he was crazy in love with his family (something I value as well.) Chris and Nene finally got us to agree to meet... It was our first blind date ever and we were CRAZY nervous. He walks out of the door (looking a tad bit short lol) and gets in the car with some over powering cologne on. He looks at me and we greet and thats when he trapped me with those big beautiful hazel eyes. He and his best friend Chris and me and my bestie Nene drove off into the night. They made a pit stop at a store and they came back with two dozen of roses (in our favorite color to be exact) It was cheesy but it was the first time I'd gotten a dozen roses on a "first date." We had dinner and caught a movie and you'll never guess what he did at the movies: THE YAWN AND CUDDLE (when a guy yawns and stretches his arm out to cuddle with the girl) It was HILARIOUS but cute. Since that day it has been Zach and I against the world.

The tests of time have come and gone and our love still remains. Our loved survived unsupportive friends and family, negative comments, the return of the Ex's, weight gain, becoming deaf, losing vision, being told I better leave while I can etc. We have an awesome friendship and an extremely strong bond. He is the best thing that ever happend to me. He is my best friend and I know that he is the one that God has for me.

I love you my dear

 PRELUDE:

I had been in a bad relationship and once it ended I felt like giving up on love. So i decided to live the single life. I told God that I was tired of being used and mistreated and I was waiting on him to send me a wife.

OUR STORY:

After exchanging numbers and pictures and talking for hours at a time we found lots of common ground. Over the next few months I began to feel alive and remember what love felt like- we complimented each other. We were like peanut butter and jelly.

When I first saw Shan I remember thinking "This is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen" I can remember what she wore on our first date: yellow shirt, jean capris and yellow jewelry. I love a woman that is well put together. I won't lie, I was nervous when we met because I wanted to make a good impression but things felt easy with her- like it was meant to be. The first date was great; I think the pink roses were a great touch. After that date we were inseprable.

About 2 years later I decided that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I proposed and she said yes. She has stood by me for six years through the best and worst of times. She is my best friend and I am proud to have her as my fiance and future wife.

I love you with all of my heart
