Our Love Story began in a good ol' Burger King. Yes, you heard that right, Burger King. I had the most handsome baby boy with me and I was having lunch with some friends. It just so happened, Berto was also friends with one of my friends. In he walks, with his curly afro and gorgeous eyes to say 'what's up' to his friend. Then the drooling started ;) He was supposed to go out that night, but decided to come back and hang out with 'us' instead. Ever since that day, we just hit it off. I would hit up our mutual friend and whenever he would tell me Berto was there.. I was there too lol. For months we would hang out and he would walk me and Antoniyo home in the cold, giving up his jackets and gloves so I would be warm.

I knew he was the one for sure when once time we were at Papa Ginos and Antoniyo was crying. He needed a bottle, or so I thought. I walked into the bathroom to make him a bottle and Alberto stayed with Antoniyo. When I walked out, Antoniyo had stopped crying and Berto was rocking him and got him to calm down and almost fall asleep! I told him he should come home with me and help out lol -- yes that was my cute attempt at flirting.

February 27, 2010 we made it official. I knew he was the one because not only did he make me happy and smile from ear to ear, but he was wonderful with my son, who was only 6 months at the time we made it official. My son adored him just as much as I did. 

Here we are almost 7 years later, with Antoniyo being 7 and our little boy being 4. We have a family, and a love like no other. My children have one amazing daddy, who gets more respect than anything in the world for stepping up to the plate to a child that wasn't initially his, but who he now loves as if he was his own.

Now just a little more than 3 months away, we will become husband and wife, and continue to grow along with our family.

Thank god for fast food ;) <3
