Derek and Darian met one rainy evening in late 2011. They were attending a dinner get together with mutual friends. Romance was the last thing on their minds at the time, and ironically, they woudn't see eachother again for 2 years. In 2013, after reconnecting with those mutual friends, (and a little bit of innocent crushing and social media creeping), Derek and Darian agreed to meet for a date and from then on there was instant chemistry. Derek asked Darian to make it official on their first cruise together on December 18, 2013. Since then, cruising has become a trend for the couple. Over time, they created a home together and even adopted a kitten and puppy! From joining the Military to moving across the state, the pair has stayed united. They are looking forward to starting the next chapter in their lives, getting married on the Carnival Glory!
