July 2007: Zack and Emily met on the Carnival Legend in the O2 Club. They became best friends in less than a week before he headed back to Ohio and she went back to Missouri.

They kept in touch through AOL Instant Messenger (it was a time before cell phones), called each other, and eventually both had unlimited texting that they used to its full extent.

Over two long years went by before they would see each other again.

October 2009: Zack came and visited Emily at Mizzou. They spent a week together and he finally asked her to officially be his girlfriend.

November 2009: Zack visited Emily again, this time visiting her parents house and going to the Mizzou KU game in Kansas City.

March 2010: For Zack's spring break, he visited the beautiful town of Columbia, Missouri. He spent another week at Mizzou with Emily, going to her classes with her even though he was on spring break.

March 2010: For Emily's spring break, she ventured out to Youngstown, Ohio to spend the week with Zack. She went to his classes also and got the grand tour of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

June 2010: Zack flew out to Missouri again to kick off the summer spending a week with his girlfriend. They went to Worlds of Fun, watched fireworks at the Mustangs game, and had a blast.

August 2010: Emily made a trip to Ohio before school started up again. They spent a day at the Pittsburgh Zoo, explored Bear Town Rocks, and went to their first Jimmy Buffet concert.

March 2011: This year, their spring breaks were on the same week.  So Emily flew out to Pittsburgh where Zack picked her up and they drove 5 hours to Ocean City, Maryland for a long weekend. They went to the beach, walked the boardwalk, and relaxed before heading to Washington, D.C.  In D.C., they went to the National Zoo, walked to all the monuments, toured the Smithsonian, and got lost about fifty times before heading back to Ohio for the rest of the week.

June 2011: Zack flew to Missouri once again. They started off this trip with a Royals game in Kansas City. They also took a picnic in the park, and an all day canoeing trip down the river.

July 2011: Emily decided to take a last minute trip out to Ohio for the fourth of July. They spent the weekend at their friend's cabin and had a blast.

After four years of being 847 miles apart, the couple decided it was time for a change.

August 2011: Emily transferred to Youngstown State University and moved to Ohio.

They enjoyed finally being able to see each other more than just a week at a time before spending months apart. They adjusted to never seeing each other to seeing each other all the time better than either one of them had expected. It wasn't long before Zack knew more than ever that this was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

June 2012: Emily and her family went on another cruise, this time inviting Zack along also.

June 17, 2012: The first night of the cruise. After dinner, Zack proposed! (Check the Proposal link for the full story!)

After two long years of being engaged, Zack and Emily could not be more excited to finally be getting married!
