Jason and I met in 2006, ironically having both just come from Texas to California. He was in California from Kenney, Texas mobilizing to deploy to Iraq and I had just moved from Texarkana for work. One afternoon, Jason's fellow Seabees convinced him to head over to a local beach tavern to listen to a local musician play guitar and sing. Turns out that tavern was next to my house and the singer was a friend of mine. Of all things, I had run a roll of tape over to her to put up flyers and that's how Jason and I met. We started talking- and have never stopped. I even wrote him a hand-written letter every day he was in Iraq (and he kept every letter :-) Who would have thought we would have had to separately move from Texas to Port Hueneme, CA to meet and fall in love? Fate works in mysterious ways.  We have just moved cross country to Charleston, SC, started new jobs, bought a new house and are ready for the real Wedding fun to begin!!!

We are planning to be married on the Carnival Dream in Port Canaveral, FL on September 10, 2011. We know we started planning early, but we wanted to give as many of you time to plan to join us as possible.

Also, for out of towners, there are many hotels in Cocoa Beach to choose from.  We will be staying at the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach which has packages that include parking for the week and a shuttle to the port.  If you need additional hotel information, please feel free to contact us.

Everyone attending the ceremony/ reception must be in the terminal to check in no later than 10:15.  We will priority board as one group as soon as Customs has cleared the ship.  Sailing guests will need passports and non-sailing guests will need a passport or driver's license.  We will need all attendees RSVP's and full legal name, DOB, and DL number well in advance so that we can ensure you are on Carnival's priority boarding list.

We are hosting a ninety minute reception immediately following the ceremony onboard the Carnival Dream (I believe in the Caliente Dance Club).

After that we plan on a fun filled trip with great food, exciting shows, casino games, sun by the swimming pools, spa treatments, miniature golf, and so much more!
