Our Story

Our story begins when we were both attending Huntington High School. Keith was a junior and I was a sophomore. We had a class together, Reconnecting Youth, I thought that Keith was so cute. My goal for that class was to gain a boyfriend, Keith. We talked on the phone every night from December til May. We both were members of the Student Council and were to attend the end of the year banquet at the Crown Colony Country Club. I asked Keith if he would like to be my date at the banquet. This is where our story begins. From that night we began to talk more and went to the prom together that next week. After prom, Keith asked me to be his girlfriend on May 9. Since then we have been dating for 5 years: through college, military, and hard times. We have had our shares of ups and downs but have found ourselves on the way. The night Keith proposed was nothing that I had imagined, but was everything I hoped for. We had been on a date that night to dinner and a movie, that day was not a very good day for me. My Grandpa had only been passed away for two months and everything that could remind me of him happened that day. After the movie Keith was driving home when he said he wanted to show me something. He drove through Crown Colony to where I thought he was going to show me a house that he liked. To my surprise we pulled up at the Country Club where we had our first date. He proposed to me at the very spot that we first feel in love! Our story is one that seems to be only in dreams and for that I am very lucky to have Keith in my life.
