I never imagined that giving a total stranger direction to a parking garage would lead to falling in love and now marriage. My first interaction with Michael was a common scenario. Michael was parked in a space in front of my office building. As I walked past his car, he lowered the passenger window and asked nicely where a public parking garage was located. I kindly gave him directions and entered the building. Later that afternoon in the office of my workplace, I saw Michael again. He was a new employee being escorted to his desk. Out off all the empty workspaces throughout the department that Michael could have been assigned, he was placed two rows over from my desk.

Michael’s Thoughts

One evening during a work outing, myself and Marquita conversed a little more than usual. My interest in her really increased and I would have loved to spend time with her outside of work. I asked Marquita out on a date, she accepted. The date went well and we kept in contact from that day forward. I left the company a few months later.

Our Thoughts

We realized how much we had fallen in love by not seeing one another every day. We would email each other all day from work and talk to each other on the phone all night from home. After months of friendship we decide to take things to the next level and began a committed relationship. From that day forward we have been inseparable.
