Shawn Grew up in the hocking hills area and had always loved being outdoors. Mary Grew up in the Bremen/Lancaster area and doesn't mind being outside too much either (just not as much as Shawn Does). They decided they wanted to go to Old Man's Cave for a day together and little did Mary know, that was a day she'd NEVER forget. It sounds completely cliche, but they went off the track and and were skipping some rocks by the water. Mary couldn't get it down just right, so she kept trying and when she turned around to complain to Shawn that she couldn't skip them, He was down on one knee with the ring. She said YES!! Hugged him and had to go home to stare at the ring for the rest of the day!
