As cliche as it would be to tell you of a wonderfully romantic first meeting, that isn't at all how it went down. :) Alan and I met at work...in the kitchen. I had been working there for a few months when one day an adorably shy new guy caught my eye. All I knew about this new guy was what I'd heard from coworkers - which was only that he is a fantastic cook. Now I won't lie, that definitely reeled me in being that I myself have 0 skill in that area. I spent the next few weeks finding every excuse to walk to the kitchen so I could see him, in hopes that he would talk to me. Finally, I just asked him to walk me to my car one night after work. Soon after that night, Alan told me he knew I was the woman he would marry. As startled as I was initially, it wasn't long before I was on board with that plan.

Alan was everything I ever wanted but didn't think I would ever actually find. I would tell him about how I remember the moment  when I first realized he loved me - being the cautious, overthinker that I am, I had a hard time believing his first few "I love yous" - we were having dinner at a riverside restaurant in Helen one night. He never once took his eyes off me and he grinned from ear to ear the whole dinner, not wanting to let go of my hand for a second. When I got home that evening, dad asked me how my date went and I (now grinning ear to ear, cheeks red) replied with "he's smitten." From then on, it was evident to everyone where this was going.

Fast forward to our one year anniversary: Alan took me back to Helen and got down on a knee -- and I said yes!!

Our wedding is going to be situated in our most favorite place to be and where we hope to one day settle down - the north georgia mountains. It will be on August 2nd, 2014 at 5:30 PM at Willow Creek Falls and Vineyard in Blue Ridge, GA where the reception will follow. Please RSVP by July 1st!

Note: Our registry for our honeymoon will close on July 27th. I know this may be inconvenient as many may look to contribute the week before the wedding (I would because I'm a procrastinator ;) ) but I didn't have any say on that so I apologize! And thank you for any and all wedding wishes/gifts- they're greatly appreciated!
