On our first date, we fell in love with not just eachother, but also with the city of St. Augustine, so every June we made the tradition of going back there for my birthday. I had a feeling this would be the perfect weekend for him to propose, so I made sure to be prepared. I got may nails done, bought a new dress, and waited anxiously for him to make his move. I was worried he was going to propose on my actual birthday and thought that might be cleche. Sure enough, my birthday night came and went with no ring. We had two more days up there and I had no idea when it would come. The next night we went to a great dinner and spent the night slow dancing. jarrod wanted to take a walk by the fort. After a night of dancing in heels, a walk to the fort was the last thing I wanted to do. I was hot, sweaty, my feet hurt and I was tired. I walked ahead and when I looked back to yell at him for being slow, he was down on one knee in front of the street lamp. I was completely taken off guard and even though I never pictured myself crying when the time came I completely broke down. The words "yes" eventually came out inbetween sobs as we made our way happily back though the town.

Well we went up to Saint Augustine for her birthday weekend. What she didnt know was that I purchased the ring and asked her father for his blessing to marry her. Well she is a smart girl and I think she knew it was coming. But she didnt know when. The first day we were up there we walked all around the town, went out for dinner, and no proposal. I could tell she was disappointed but I wasn't going to ask her to marry me on her birthday. We had 2 days remaining. I knew she would be expecting it on the last day so I decided to throw her off. On our second day we walked around the town, went to the beach, came back to our room to get ready to go out and eat at the nice spanish restaurant. She put on one of her pretty dresses and when we got to the restaurant, still no proposal. I could see she was still upset, expecting me to ask her. I waited till the night was almost over. We went for a walk around the Fort and along the wall next to the street right against water. I started to slow down and she kept going. I stopped under the light and got down on my knee and pulled out the ring. She looked back and saw me down on one knee. I asked her to marry me. she started balling, She finally said "Yes" after saying "oh my God are you serious" a bunch of times.
