Carlos definitely surprised me.  When he won a trip to Cancun, he knew it was the time to propose!  He met with my boys to ask for their permission.  Then he met with my parents.  On my moms death bed, she cried tears of joy asking "Why did it take you so long!".  After dinner on Friday night, he took me for a walk on the beach.  We talked about how we know we want to get married, it just was never the right time.  "Well how about right now?" as he got down on one knee with the waves of the ocean and moonlight behind him.  I couldn't believe it, it was actually happening!  It has been the happiest time of my life wearing this beautiful ring knowing how much I am loved and adored and that he really does want it to be forever :)
