Welcome
Welcome

We will solemnize our marriage on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1:00pm on the Carnival Elation Cruise Ship.  The cermony will be a shorter version of a wedding, with Ray and I renewing our vows.  The reception will also follow basic wedding traditions.  For those of you who don't already know, our wedding was first destroyed by "Katrina" in 2005, and then postponed for medical reasons in 2009.  We were in fact married in 2005 by the Justice of the Peace in Mississippi.  However, we made a promise to my father (as well as all of you), that we would share this celebration with our family and friends.  Thank you all for the love and support you have given us over the years.  We couldn't have made it this far without each of you.  I hope that you will join us for this long awaited ceremony.

Everyone will have to board the ship for the renewal, and must arrive at the check-in desk (located inside the terminal), no later than 10am.  There will be a priority check-in for both sailing and non-sailing guest of the wedding.  However, due to the nature of the cruise industry and various governement agencies controlling cruise ships, they require (in advance) the full name, date of birth, and drivers license or passport number (birth certificate for minors) in order to board the ship.  You will also need to bring that proof of identification with you for check-in.  All guests will be allowed to tour the ship while waiting for the ceremony to begin.  Parking will also be available at the New Orleans Cruise Ship Terminal for a $14.00 flat rate.  However, you may find cheaper parking outside of the terminal area as well.

You choose my dress, got to see it on, asked your brother to give me away, and made me promise to follow through with sharing the celebration with our family and friends.  As I put on my dress, to walk down the aisle with Uncle Rik, I know that you will not just be watching over us, but sitting on my shoulder "pushing" me down the aisle.  I seem to remember on several occasions you had mentioned "pushing" us down the aisle to get rid of us quickly.  Funny...  Well I hate to tell you, but even though you are not here with us... You will never get rid of us, for we all carry you with us each day... And on this day, I will most of all!  I Love You Daddy and Miss You Dearly.  I will become Mrs. Ajan by name, but I will always be Gadwaw at heart.

To the Greatest Man I've Ever Known.

Due to United States Customs and Immigration, they ask that guest not bring gifts onboard.  They are required to charge duty fees (taxes) on any gifts you bring onboard.  Therefore, we thought it would be easier (and cheaper) for everyone if we simply registered with Carnival's Honeymoon Wishes.
