Our story is a long one. Here is the short version... We have known each other since 1978. First running into each other when Ronnie was selling donuts in Boy Scouts. We ran into each other couple of years later, but I was married. We both remained friends and watched each other go through the trials and tribulations of unsuccessful marriages and relationships. We lost touch after our divorces. Then one day his marriage ended and I was ending a bad relationship. Then one day, I made a comment on my facebook and he replied. What was only to be a reconnected friendship, (because neither one of us wanted anything else but friendship with anyone) surprisingly by the first or second date we knew we had something there and pursued the relationship.
