Bride

Tonya proposed to me on the Carnival Magic. It was on the second evening of the cruise, which was elegant night. We all got dressed in our formal attire and went to dinner. Once dinner was over, we went back to the cabin to relax a little. We then went back down to take pictures in our formalwear. After pictures, we heaed back to the cabin because my feet were killing me. Heels are not the best pair of shoes to wear on a cruise, especially after a few drinks! We got back to the cabin and Tonya took me out onto our balcony. She had Gerald Levert's "Made to Love You" playing and my mom, Akeem, and CJ were out on the balcony waiting. Kavan was MIA, he was somewhere running the ship with his friends. When I got out on the balcony, I thought we were going to take some balcony pictures, but I was so wrong! Tonya started talking to me, and once I realized what was going on, I started to shut down. I was suprised, nervous, and excited all at the same time. Of course, the tears started to fall. And I must admit, I barely heard anything she said. But I do remeber her getting down on her knee and asking me, "Will you marry me?". Those were the sweetest words ever. Through my tears, I said yes! We kissed and hugged, my mom was crying, Akeem and CJ were happy for the both of us. CJ came and put his arms around the both of us and told Tonya "I'm your son now." That has been one of the happiest days of my life. Needless to say, the rest of the cruise was awesome. So, it only seems right that we get married on the same ship that we got engaged on!
