I have Joshua to thank for meeting Jose. Joshua wanted to hang out with a friend from school and gave me the phone number of his friend's dad. We set up a time for them to play and that's when I met Jose. At first, our kids would hang out with either me or Jose and then the four of us started hanging out together. We had so much fun. Often, Jose and I would watch Downton Abby (on opposite ends of a very long couch) while the boys played. After watching 3 seasons of Downton Abbey together over the course of 6 months, I knew this man was different. Our friendship grew from all the great conversations and many laughs and I came to know how amazing Jose is.

If it weren’t for our children, it's not likely we would have ever met. Josie's son, Joshua, had asked Alex for my phone number so that his mom could call me and have the two of them get together to play. Josie called and set up a time to bring Joshua over. That's the first time I met Josie. From the moment I laid eyes on her I knew that she was someone very special. We became friends, and shared many good times with our two boys. It seemed that the more time I spent with her, the more special she became. It wasn't long before I fell in love with one of the most beautiful and sweet women I have ever met. Over the next several months (and several failed attempts to get her to go out with me), we started dating.
