I surprised Khang for his birthday by taking him to his favorite restaurant - Flavors of Asia.

This was followed up by a night at Revolution Karaoke with a bunch of friends in a private room. 

Khang loves karaoke, and this was the perfect set-up. I had practised singing John Denver's song Annie's Song for weeks leading up to the day. 

About 2/3 of the way through the night, I started singing the song I had practiced, but I was so nervous I kept forgetting the notes. I finally gave up and got down on one knee and asked him to marry me. He was so surprised, and started crying, and he said YES!
