Jake and Jaimee both attended Lewis Central High School until he switched schools in Council Bluffs, Iowa his Junior year. They had classes together and would talk in the halls if they saw each other but never hung out outside of school.

After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School, Jake stayed in Council Bluffs and went to Iowa Western Community College. He then decided to move to Missoula, Montana with his cousin. He loved the scenery up there but missed his family back home. So, a short while later, he moved back to Council Bluffs.

Meanwhile after graduating from Lewis Central High School, Jaimee moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to go to Kirkwood Community College. She went there for a year then moved down to Iowa City, Iowa to pursue cosmotology school. It didn't end up being "her thing".  She was ready to come home and moved back in September of 2007.

Here comes the big romantic reunion... In December, Jaimee saw Jake on Myspace (remember it's 2007) and sent him a message asking him what he was up to these days. They emailed back and forth a couple times and Jake finally asked Jaimee if she wanted to get together. She suggested the Upstream Brewing Company in the Old Market (Omaha, NE). After dinner that night, in spite of the fact that it was freezing out and Jaimee had decided to wear heels, they walked all around the Old Market with all the pretty Christmas lights hung everywhere. It was a perfect night. Jake even opened the car door for her! From that night on, they called and texted each other every chance they got.

On January 5th, 2008, Jaimee was at Jake's mom's house and his little sister asked him if Jaimee was his girlfriend. So that was his way of asking Jaimee. "My sister wants to know if you are my girlfriend?" Of course she said yes.

Jump ahead almost 5 years later and here they are engaged to be married! After lots of talking about it over the last couple years, an opportunity presented itself this year and finally they are making it offical.

Jake proposed in May 2012 and they are planning a June 1, 2013 wedding.

We are planning a small private ceremony on June 1, 2013 at a friends vineyard in Council Bluffs, IA. Hoping for good weather! :)

Planning a big celebration with friends and family following the ceremony, at the Treynor Community Center. There will be plenty of dining, dancing and drinking! Looking forward to an awesome night!

We would like to thank our parents, family and friends for making this day possible. It means so much to us to have everyone be a part of this happy time in our lives and share our special day with us.

We will be taking a 7 day Western Caribbean Carnival Cruise after our wedding. We will be departing from New Orleans, Louisiana traveling to Montego Bay in Jamaica, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands and Cozumel in Mexico. Looking forward to a wonderful cruise as Mr. and Mrs.!
