Bride

In August of 2012, I wrecked my road bike and ended up with awful road burns and open areas.  I was a hot mess.  Up until this point, I had only known Lewis (Timon), from work and had not paid him much attention.  Then one day while being off from work and recovering from my injury, I ran into him at Panera’s. He goes, “I heard that you were in an accident, what happen?”  So, I filled him in and then being an RN and all, he offered to get me more bandages since I was changing them about 3-4 times/day.  We agreed to meet back at Panera’s two days later for me to retrieve them. Needless to say, that meeting turned into a 3 hour long conversation, and according to him, he knew then that he wanted to make me his.  According to me, “Thank you for the bandages, Sir.”

However, we began to chat a bit here and there and one day, as I was heading home, I had a flat tire.  I called him and he came over right away.  So picture this. SOUTH FLORIDA. THE MONTH OF AUGUST.  MIDDLE OF THE DAY.  This dude changed my tire alone in the blistering heat!  I couldn’t help but to take a peek out of the window to admire his hard work.  Afterwards, he came to the door and I offered him a drink of water.  He was such a gentleman and waited at the door until I invited him in.  Then, I offered him something to eat.  All, I really had at the time was a huge salad.  Well, he devoured it! I was impressed.  Not only was he hard working, but he was also cool with eating my “rabbit food.”

From then on, he began to ask me on multiple dates. Lew was and still is a true gentleman and I love that about him.  I waited until forever to introduce him to Brooklyn, and once I did, he won her over.  The two of them have such an amazing relationship and that makes me love him even more.

We have so many similar interests from mud races to healthcare, but most importantly, our relationships with God and Family. We are both so blessed and thankful to have found each other.
