Bride

See one night we were fighting, I believe about our future together. And how I wanted to know if he is serious about staying with me and how silly it is to wait until he gets a career that right now we are doing okay blah blah blah. Now that I look back he was smiling the entire time which should have told me something was up. Instead his uncaring annoying smirk was exetrely infuriating. I finally walked out of the room and when I walked back in he had that same goofy smile and had a ring in his hand. I then sat down on the bed with him and then he said "Erika I love you and I always want to be with you, will you marry me? " And I said yes!

Groom

Well it started last April fools day when Erika and I were going to post we were married to freak everyone out, however we decided against it, I didn't want to freak everyone out then say I was kidding. However Erika had this set of rings (an engagement and my wedding ring) that were her style and too historically significant to use anything else. She explained how much she would like that to be her engagement ring because it was her great grandmother's ring and given to her by her grandfather. She said it would be like her grandpa saying yes to a blessing. So I kept thinking how easy it would be to slip the rings to the jewelers to resize them and clean them up and slip them right back into her jewelry box without her even knowing. And at the right moment I could propose and she would be completely surprised. Then one night she was trying to say that being broke and getting married was okay. And of coarse I knew this but I played along and said I wouldn't get married until I can afford a house and kids. I couldn't help but smile because I knew this was the moment. Then she walked out of the room and I scrambled to get the rings and when she came back in she saw me still smiling and the rings in my hand, and she couldn't help but cry, laugh and say yes.
