During an early, warm & late April 2015 morning, Lawanda was working at a QuikTrip location in Metro-Atlanta. Eddie had been called out to an Armed Robbery scene near the store where the robbery suspects had been arrested.  Before wrapping up the investigation, Eddie entered the store to grab a cup of coffee.  He noticed Lawanda immediately and initiated a conversation with a sweet "Hello."  Lawanda responded by saying "Well, hello to you too, Little Man."  Eddie then replied "Little Man?" Lawanda then smiled and said "I'm just teasing you. If I step out from behind this counter, you'll see that I'm not so tall myself."  Eddie then said "I see.  And cute too. I don't want to step on anyone's toes but are you married?"  Lawanda replied "The only man in my life is Jesus."  At that moment, Eddie  also noticed her passion for God and the 'Holy Cross' earrings she likes to wear.

Eddie then told Lawanda "You know something? You're gonna be my lady one day."  Lawanda replied "We'll see about that Little Man."  As Eddie was exiting the store, Lawanda said "Hey. How am I gonna be your lady without your number?"  They then exchanged numbers and here we are more than one fantastic year later.
