The story of our relationship is a special one. It is special because we had and still have to put a ton of effort into this. And anything that involves sweat and tears is all the much better when it starts to turn the way we imagined it would back when we were both just 17 years young starting in a relationship; “Highschool Sweethearts.” Only teens, but soon facing very adult changes in our lives. Both of us were scared and afraid of our future.
Colby had his mindset on playing college football and Dania to serve in our military. Everything became uprooted when we found out that a baby was on the way and we were supposed to be responsible for it. In a mutual agreement we choose to give up our future plans with only one condition... “No matter how hard it gets we do this together.” Shortly after graduating high school and then our son being born in; we were figuring out what being an adult truly meant.
It would be a huge lie to say things were easy at this part of our lives but that is not the truth. We argued a lot with each other to say the least and we lost sight of all the reasons we fell in love. Just being so young and dumb was the root of evil for us. Maybe some of you all can relate to what we were experiencing. Through so much of the ups and downs it got to the point where we took a long break away from each other. Some people said it was for the good, but deep down both of us still had special type of love for eachother that mostly everybody did not understand.
Just like magnets we came together as one once again. This time little bit older but a lot more mature. We became smarter at paying attention to the details, more patient with the other, most importantly became best friends again. We went to Mexico for our 1st family vacation, obtained a place to call home. Both have jobs that we greatly enjoy and every week go out for family time. So this year it will make 5 YEARS together and said… Lets get married!! For both of us there in zero doubt in hearts that we want to be Husband & Wife Until the End of Time !
