Proposal 1: Labor Day Weekend 2015

Every Year we spend the weekend at Knoebels camping with my family and every year we get our photo taken in the photo booth. When we go up with his family for a picnic or just a day trip for the 2 of us, we get a photo taken ( we have quite the collection of photo strips)...it has become tradition.  Well this time was a little different, I walked out with a photo strip and a ring! :)

As you can tell from the photo... I ruined it and was in the process of closing the curtain when his proposal and photo booth had already begun.

Proposal 2: September 17, 2015. Sunset Beach Wildwood NJ

So again, I ruined this proposal. I was stubborn all day and did not even want to go to this beach but after some convincing on Richard's end I agreed to go. He asked a woman to take our photo on the beach and as she did I noticed he was down on one knee (you can tell by my face I was confused and demanded he get up). The poor woman taking the photo must have felt so awkward because I was more confused then suprised.

For those of you who do not know the story, the second proposal was with a diamond. The ring was custom made and was not done in time for the planned labor day proposal.  Lucky for me because I ended up with 2 rings :)

But the story gets better...the center stone of the diamond ring belonged to my godmother. She had gifted us the ring years before. Richard used the center stone to custom make a ring. Unfortunately less than 2 years from this date, my aunt (godmother) passed away.  This ring holds more meaning than anyone can imagine and having her be apart of the second proposal is a gift that can never be lost.
