On the early morning of June 19th, Corey and Matthew were heading to California to spend a week at the beach with family. After the bumpy initial wake up and quiet drive to the airport, they both ended up relaxing in the American Airlines Admirals Club. Once finally seated, both were upset that it was before 7:00 AM and Texas law prevented drinks from being served. Eventually, Matthew shuffled through his bag to find a big black box. To add to the fun of Corey's enjoyment, Matthew said "I don't have room for this in my bag.  Will you please hold on to it for me?" Much to Corey's delight he begrudingly agreed, without looking at what Matt was holding. When the box finally touched Corey's hand, he realized what had just occurred. Matthew then got on one knee and asked Corey to marry him. Corey quickly agreed and it was just after 7:00 AM, so the champagne flowed and the journey had begun!
