The bride met Jessica in her third year at university in Dr. Moser's Introductory Logic class. Their relationship started as two struggling university students that shared notes and studied together for tests for shared classes. After many stress-filled evening, a strong friendship blossomed. Together they share a similar sense of humor and a strong wanderlust. Having many memories of laughing so hard we cried and long car rides to Montreal listening to Marianas Trench, the bride loves that Jess is completely honest, laid back, and is extremely passionate. Through the years that the bride has known Jess, she has become more of a sister than a friend. The bride could think of no one better than her to be Maid of Honour.
The bride met Montanna in her third year of university through mutual friends. Their relationship was slow burning, as neither of them shared any classes or even similar disciplines in University. However, after a well-deserved spring break trip to Montreal, their friendship grew stronger. With many evenings laughing about silly party games or even just quick conversations between classes in the library, the bride came to appreciate Montanna's honesty and her ability to not let the opinions of others bother her in the slightest. Montanna has become a well-trusted friend and someone the bride could not see having her wedding without.
The bride met Sarah in her third year of university through a mutual need to learn and play Dungeons & Dragons with new players. Their friendship developed quickly through many weekly sessions of Dungeons & Dragons and planning secret celebrations for different individuals in our friend group. Together they share a love of cooking, travel, and playing tabletop games. They also have amazing memories of evenings bowling, and surprising Sarah with a party to celebrate a well-deserved subscriber milestone on her YouTube channel. The bride admires Sarah's ability to juggle her social life and academic life with stride and confidence; as well as her ability to be open and honest about everything and anything. As a well trusted and truly deserving successful woman so far, the bride could have no one else to replace her on this special day.
The bride met Kharla through Luke, one of the groomsmen. Although they have only met in person for a short period of time in the summer of 2019 before the bride graduated from University, the two enjoyed their time together playing board games and going to the movies with their shared friend group. The bride loves how open and carefree she is about her experiences in life and that she has a similar sense of humour. The brides were initially worried when she asked Kharla to be a bridesmaid because they had only just met each other, however, Kharla said yes and the bride you not have it any other way.
The bride met Sam in her second year of University in Dr Simkulet's introductory English class. They were quick to become friends through a shared sense of humour and enjoyment in acting out Shakespeare's "The Tempest" while adding their own modern twists to the story. Together they hold many memories of playing games, watching ridiculous 5-minute craft videos, or simply watching Netflix on the couch. Through living together for two years, their friendship has developed into more of a sisterly bond and the bride would not have it any other way. The bride is blessed to consider this wonderful person a best friend and now a bridesmaid.
The groom met Aaron during Kindergarten and since then they have always been a part of each other's lives. From Elementary all the way through University, the two of them have always stuck by and helped one another whenever it was needed. Even after University, the groom had the privilege to teach alongside Aaron at their job as educators and live with him for a time. As friends, best friends, or colleagues, he has and always be considered as a brother to the groom.
The groom met Cody a few years into Elementary school and for a long time, the two of them struggled to get along, even for the sake of their friends they shared. After more than a decade the two of them learned to let go of their pettiness and quickly found that they enjoyed one another's company. Cody has been a fantastic friend to the groom and has provided wonderful advice when it was desperately needed. The groom is proud to call this man one of his closest friends.
The groom met Tom a little later in life and from the beginning, the two of them have gotten along quite well. From high school to University, and on the two have shared many laughs together even when neither felt that they could. Both have challenged and encouraged one another to improve and do better at every opportunity. Even though now the two do not get to see one another as often as either would like, Tom is still considered a close friend.
The first time the groom met Luke the first thing that came to his mind was "Huh? Where's the nerd we're supposed to be picking up? All I see is this jock?!" However, the groom was quickly dissuaded of this notion within the first five minutes of talking with him and he knew without a doubt that he liked this ditzy man. From there the two quickly became friends over countless hours of games and laughter and he was one of the two people he trusted without a doubt when it came time to surprise the bride with a visit. While they may not have known one another long, Luke is considered a kind and trusted friend.
When the groom met Ben for the first time, he was amazed at how much he was reminded of some of his other friends who were stateside. Since that time the groom has deeply enjoyed his conversations with Ben and later became amazed at how great of a storyteller he is (even though he firmly denies it). From the grooms' short stay and interaction with Ben, he knew that Ben was another person who he trusted completed when it came time to surprise the bride (even if he did not know he was helping set up a proposal). A kind, caring, and strong-minded individual, the groom is grateful to have met and befriended this wonderful man and trusted friend.
