Prior to our official engagement in Belize we had discussed in detail getting married. Jeffrey knew my mother knows more about buying diamonds and getting just what I would love.  So we decided it would be fun to get engaged on my mother’s family Christmas cruise in 2012. We stopped at the port of Belize and that is when all the magic happened. After my mom searched high and low she suggested I design my perfect engagement ring (yes I know this is not how it typically happened, but you who know me and how difficult I can be). The hours between the time I made my selection and it was finished took a forever.  I handled the anxiety with some more shopping and lunch to be honest.  After Jeffrey picked up the ring, the anticipation of when the proposal was going to happen was overwhelming for me. And I wasn’t alone Jeffrey looked scared.

Right outside of Diamonds International Jeffrey got down on one knee and he proposed. He stuttered and stammered the question.  Honestly, it was the first time I have ever seen him nervous.
