Welcome

Thanks for taking the time to visit our wedding website! We hope that this site can provide you with answers to any questions you may have about our cruise ship wedding. If you still have questions, please ask us!

Adam and I have been talking about getting married on a cruise since before we were engaged. We are so excited that it is finally going to happen. We want to make the wedding and cruise as stress free for all of our guests as possible, so please do not hesitate to ask questions about anything.

A unique feature of a cruise ship wedding is the special requirements that guests must follow due to government and cruise line regulations. We hope that these requirements do not inconvenience you in any way.

Wedding Cruise: The Carnival Imagination

4 Day cruise leaving Port Miami on June, 17, 2013 to Key West, FL and Cozumel, Mexico.

Arrival: Priority boarding will be provided for all of our guests. Carnival requires that all guests arrive to the ship by 10:30 am on the day of the wedding to begin the check-in process. Guests who do not arrive at the time of boarding will not have access to priority boarding. It is extremely important to be prompt. We will not be allowed on the ship until customs has cleared the ship, which will usually be between 11:30am and 12:30pm. There are no food or beverage options until we board the ship, so please plan accordingly. The wedding ceremony will be between 1 and 2 PM. The time will be determined about 2 weeks prior to the wedding, however, the time that guests must arrive will stay the same, at 10:30am.

Non-Sailing Guests: You should be completely dressed and ready for the wedding when arriving at the cruise terminal. You will need to provide your state issued photo ID at the time of check in. You will leave your ID with Security in the terminal and be given a guest pass to board the ship. You are welcome to tour the ship until the ceremony time. You will be required to debark the ship immediately after the reception. When leaving the ship, you will need to redeem your ID in the ship's terminal.

Sailing Guests: You should be completely dressed and ready for the wedding when arriving at the cruise terminal. Your cabin's may not be ready prior to the ceremony. One carry on bag is allowed per sailing guest. You will not have access to any checked baggage until after the reception. Sailing guests will be able to drop their carry on bags off in the stateroom prior to attending the wedding. Please ensure that all ticket documents have been completed prior to arrival at the pier to expedite check-in and have proper boarding documents available.

Parking: Non-sailing guests will park in the short term parking lot upon arrival. The parking fee is around $8. Sailing guests may park in a parking garage or in Lot 2 (outdoor parking) at at rate of $20.00 per day. You may choose to park elsewhere and take a shuttle to the cruise terminal; however, please keep in mind that you must arrive at the pier no later than 10:30am.

Dress Code: The wedding will be formal attire. After the wedding, please feel free to put on your flip-flops and Hawaiian shirts as we set sail to Key West and Cozumel!

We will also need the date of birth of each guest and full legal name, to be provided to Carnival with the final guest list.

Non-sailing guests:

Carnival requires certain information on the guest list for non-sailing guests. Please provide us with the full legal names, dates of birth, and an ID number for each guest that will attend the Ceremony and Reception. And ID number can be a driver's liscense number, state identification number, or passport number.

Your presence at our wedding is gift enough. However, Carnival has asked us to inform our guests that any gifts brought aboard will be subject to duty fees in accordance with U.S. customs regulations. If you feel led to provide a gift, you may want to consider delivery to our home address.

We have registered on the Carnival honeymoon registry site. This registry lists gifts that can be provided by Carnival aboard the ship such as excursions and spa treatments, and therefore are not subject to duty fees. The link to that site is at the top of this page.

We are also registered at Target.
