It all started when I decided to go out with my cousin Daren Craig one night during Cinco De Mayo in Denver. We didn't want to go downtown Denver but one of the local bars had my name on the "list" to get free drinks which lead us downtown to a place called Haterz to play giant Jinga. We were having drinks and enjoying the time when I went to the bar to get more drinks there was a group of men standing there. One of the men stated "clear the path and let the ladies to the bar" this wasn't something I had experienced before but once I got next to the bar there was Hunter. I remember thinking to myself man this guy is handsome and his tattoos are awesome. We started talking about tattoos and from there Hunter and I continued to have drinks and dance late into the night. Finishing the night off by getting Cosmos pizza which Hunter had never had. We returned to Darens house to play his Uke and then Hunter headed out for the evening. The next morning I figured I would reach out to Hunter to see if he wanted to hang out again. It was field day for little Eli so I was off work, we decided to meet up at Gander Mountain off Parker road to walk around and get to know each other. From there we learned that we both loved to Camp and Fish and it was all history. We started to hang out on a regular basis, and he got to meet Eli Memorial day weekend of 2017. In July 2017 we took our first camping trip together to Glendo Wy. January of 2018 we decided we wanted to take the big step of moving in with each other. In August 2018 we got a wonderful Fur baby Buster Elway. Since then we have been on countless camping and fishing trip. We have been able to share our love of the outdoors with Eli and bonded as a family over fishing experiences. Then December of 2018 Hunter asked me to spend our lives together and to be his wife. I couldn't be more excited to share this next chapter in life with my best friend as a married couple. I have shared my favorite picture of My Hunter Lucas above. |
