FAQs

Are there any discounts on cabins?

In order to get a group discount, we would need to book a minimum of 8 cabins above category 4b (aka, no cabins on the lowest deck.) Will we have enough guests to book 8 cabins? That remains a mystery. Please RSVP with us before booking you cabin, that way we can try to obtain a discounted group rate.

Cruise cabins are very much like booking hotels in that the rate shown is based on double occupancy. There is a solo supplement added to your rate if you decide to have a cabin all to yourself. If you book more than two guests in a cabin, the third and fourth guests get a much cheaper rate than the first two.

Do all wedding guests need to cruise in order to attend the wedding?

Yes, and we are sorry for this inconvenience, but we know you'll have a blast!

Where does the ship leave from?

Port Canaveral, Florida. The nearest airport is Orlando, Florida. Parking options for Port Canaveral are also available.

What ports will we be visiting during the cruise?

We have a fabulous itinerary! It includes Grand Turk, Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas, USVI.

May children attend?

Absolutely! Just know that babies and infants pay full price for their cruise fare, minus gratuitities. Carnival also has child care services available for when you need that adult time.

When and where will the actual wedding ceremony take place?

The date of the wedding is Sunday, September 1st. This is the day after we board the ship. During the ceremoney the ship will be sailing south on the North Atlantic Ocean, and the Captain of the Mardi Gras (or a senior officer) will be the officiant of the nuptials.

The Mardi Gras is an enormous and beautiful ship. While we'd like the ceremony to be outside, that will depend on weather, and the availability onboard. We are going to work closely with a Carnival wedding planner to help us find a perfect and private place onboard the ship to tie the knot.

May I send/bring flowers?

Unfortunately, live plants of any kind are not allowed to be brought onboard the ship by guests. However, you may bring aboard artificial flowers and decorations for the couple. If live flowers are your wish, you may choose to order them from the Carnival website and they will be delivered onboard.

Is the ship ADA accessible?

Yes, all Carnival ships are legally required to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you require a room for the differently-abled, please let us know and we will ensure you receive a cabin that satisfies your needs.
