Jill is 25 years old and a native Georgian. She grew up in McDonough, GA where the majority of her family still lives today. Jill has a younger brother (stationed in South Korea as an MP in the Army), parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, great-aunts and uncles and more cousins than she can count. She graduated from Henry County High School in 2002.

David and Jill met on a blind date that two mutual friends set them up on January 24th, 2008. Jill met her friend Krista while working together at Woodland High School. Krista told Jill she should meet her (Krista's) boyfriend's (Spencer's) best friend, David.

After some prodding, Jill said she would agree to go on a double date with Krista, Spencer and David. They met at Krista's apartment and then went to eat Mexican at a local restaurant.

A month later, David and Jill found themselves together again at a get together at David's house. They started dating that night, a month almost to the day after they first met in January.

OUR PROPOSAL:

It was Jill's birthday that day. While at a birthday party with some of her friends at a local Chinese/sushi restaurant, David switched Jill's fortune cookie with one he had prepared earlier. Jill broke open the cookie to reveal about four fortunes. She read each one aloud, as everyone does. When she reached the last one, it was a fortune that read "Will you marry me?". David then got down on one knee, opened the ring box and asked Jill again, "Will you marry me?". Of course, Jill said yes!

Jill and David want a simple and intimate wedding with their large extended family and their close friends. The ceremony and reception will be held at the Hazelhurst House in McDonough, GA. The house was built in 1829 and is the perfect setting for a wedding shared with loved ones.

October is a favorite month for both Jill and David. David's birthday is in October and it has always been Jill's favorite month of the year because of the cool weather and the beautiful colors.
