Our Story

On September 15 2006, our eyes met for the first time. Mark came to my apartment to take me out on a romantic first date. With flowers in his hand, we embraced for the first time. We both had butterflies in our stomachs from the anticipation of meeting. Mark planned to take me out to dinner. Dinner was picture perfect.

Our story began on Yahoo Personals. Mark found me one day by doing a daily search though potential matches. He looked at my profile a few times before contacting me. He finally decided to send me a message of interest. I replied with a preset message that non paying subscribers are only allowed to send once. I was a non paying subscriber, so I did not have the full benefits of the dating site that Mark did, since he was a subscriber. Mark sent me many messages, but I was not able to respond nor was I able to see his contact info because I was not a paying subscriber. Several days had passed and by this time he just thought that I was not interested because I was not responding. I finally went out on a limb and took his screen name on Yahoo Personals and sent an email to that using @yahoo.com domain. We were finally able to make contact.

Once we made contact we began chatting on Yahoo Messenger. Mark was bold enough to ask me to call him the first night we started chatting! I was so nervous, but I called him anyway. Over the next couple of weeks we interviewed each other over instant messenger. As we traded pictures, our anticipation of seeing each other grew. Mark came up with the idea that we should get web cams so that we could at least see each other as we chatted. He went out and bought one and dropped it off at my apartment building one day. I hooked it up and we saw each others faces for the first time online. I guess you could say this was a safe way to see if we liked each other well enough to meet in person! Two weeks passed and we decided the time had come to meet.

Since that first date we have been through quite a bit together, but we manage to laugh and love through it all. We couldn't be more excited about this new season in our lives and look forward to sharing it with all of our friends and family.

Our Wedding

Mark and I will be married on October 24, 2009 aboard the Carnival Inspiration cruise ship. Following the wedding ceremony we will be sailing to Cozumel, Mexico and the Grand Cayman Islands. Guests are not required to cruise with us but are welcome to attend the wedding ceremony.

Our wedding party will be made up of our girls, Regan, Adreanna and Cianna.

Our Reception

A one hour reception will follow the wedding ceremony. There will be an open bar with selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres and a champagne toast. We will also be having a wedding cake cutting so everyone will be able to enjoy this special time with us.

Guests that are not sailing with us will need to leave the ship following the reception.

Travel Arrangements

We will be flying into Tampa International Airport (TPA) on Friday, October 23, 2009 and staying at Chase Suite Hotels (www.chasehoteltampa.com). The hotel stay includes shuttle service from TPA to the hotel, as well as a shuttle that will take you to the cruise ship. You will need to reserve the "Snooze and Cruise" special with the hotel.

All of our wedding guests (including those not sailing) must be at the port at 10:30 a.m. At the day of embarkation they will be following a strict schedule and no late arrivals will be accepted.
