Michelle Kosusnik & Scott Moser
Location: Austin, Texas
Scott called it “six degrees of separation”, Scott noticed Michelle on Facebook. She was on his sister Margaret’s page. He was trying to focus on networking after moving to Austin from Seattle. He referred to her as “catnip” because she distracted him so much when he would look at her picture. After talking for months on the internet, they found they had more in common than they had expected.

They were inseperable from their first date. After meeting, they hit it off immediately! after a weekend getaway to Houston, Scott and Michelle got back to Austin and kept driving around the city for hours because they still were not ready to go back to each of their homes. They even drove by Scott's mom and sister's house and "spied" on Phyllis as she was gardening so that Scott could show Michelle who his mom was before the "formal introduction". They decided that the perfect way to blend a Texas family would be a fun trip down the Guadalupe river, as Michelle swore by this experience from many floats with her children. It was a complete success! The children still refer to that as "the most fun day in Texas so far" and Scott and Michelle plan on this being an annual Summer event for years to come.

So, let’s get to the proposal….

It was a dark and stormy night….No really!!!! It was! Staying with Scott’s mom for the evening while waiting out hurricane Ike, Scott furtively took Michelle aside into the vacant guest room. She watched bewildered as he nervously fumbled around in his pocket. She kept thinking he was getting out his new pair of glasses to show her, but wondered why he was shaky and why everyone in the house seemed so serious!

To her surprise a ring appeared as he got down on one knee. Her confusion quickly turned to delight as he asked her to be his wife! Her heart melted as she said “yes!” covering his face with kisses before he could even finish proposing!

Every day since has been an affirmation of their love. They are each other’s best friends and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.

Celebrating their special day will be that much more memorable by giving them the best gift of all…memories.

Our wedding is set to be in the beautiful backyard of Scott’s mother Phyllis Stegall, and sister Margaret Moser’s home. It will be on Saturday, May 23rd, at 6:30 pm. The attire is “dressy casual”, as this will be a garden wedding. The Best Man will be Tyler Moser, oldest son of the Groom. The Maid of Honor will be Amanda Bromaghim, daughter and oldest child of the Bride. Scott and Michelle’s youngest son’s, Max Moser and Maxwell Kosusnik, will be giving the bride away. The ambience will certainly be light and full of love and laughter, therefore guests will be required to smile at all times! We can’t wait to have you with us to celebrate our happy and joyful day!

Directions to the house are soon to follow.
After the ceremony, we will have food, cake, and drinks at the house.

Then we will be moving the party to the iconic Austin fun spot, The Broken Spoke! Scott and Michelle will attempt to dance to "Waltz Across Texas" and encourage everyone to join in. Make sure you bring enough to drink a few beers with us, because we will not be providing an open bar, however, we highly encourage all of you to toast a LOT with us! We have tables reserved for all guests and will be celebrating until we can't dance anymore!

Directions to follow soon.
The wedding weekend we have chosen is Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to give guests an extra day to recover so that we can have the most fun possible on Saturday. If you will be staying in Austin for the weekend, let us know and we will send you recommendations for hotels and places to stay near our house.

This website is very helpful and should give you lots of options of things to do and places to stay while enjoying your Austin, Texas weekend!

What adjectives would be good enough to describe the kind of gift we have been given? You would think two accomplished, literary lunatics like ourselves would be able to figure out how to tell you what we mean to each other or how to tell you all how amazing you are.
You are reading this because you have a special place in our hearts, we love you as family and want to share our happiness with you. Please help us honor that place by sharing in our joy.
