It all started thanks to two of our friends. After meeting in a casual atmosphere at Chili's (the first time was a not so casual interrogation in a Publix conference room) things seem to just start from there. We’ve had wonderful times together; becoming Disney Annual Pass Holders, fortunate to cruise the Caribbean twice, many beach trips on the West and East coast, baseball games, Magic basketball games, T-Ball games, and so much more. We just fit so well together. We have so much in common and do great at compromising on the few things that we don’t have in common. I’ve had the joy of becoming to know Joe’s son, Joey, and doing things together as a family. We are both so blessed with great family and friends and look forward to starting this next chapter in our lives. The Proposal:
After a very anxious week, December 19th was finally here! I had no clue as to what Joe had planned for our "Early Christmas Getaway." The only thing I was told was to pack an overnight bag and bring something nice to wear. Being a girl, you all know the one thing that was on my mind...hoping and wishing he was going to propose! I didn’t want to get too excited because no matter what happened, I knew we would have a great weekend. After leaving the house, the minute we hit I-4 I knew exactly where we were going…Daytona Beach! We both seemed to be a little nervous, yet acting silly in love. My breath was taken away when we pulled into The Plaza Resort and Spa on Daytona Beach. I was amazed that Joe picked such a beautiful place for our getaway. Our oceanfront room was gorgeous. A nice walk on the beach before dinner made for a perfect start to a memorable evening. Gene's Steakhouse was Joe’s choice for dinner and it was great! We were both so stuffed! We were in route back to our resort and Joe suggested taking another walk on the beach. When we arrived back at the resort, Joe grabbed a towel and we made our way down to the beach. Sitting there - just the two of us - Joe looked over and said, “There’s a reason why I brought you here.” As soon as Joe said this, tears started flowing. He smiled and told me he hasn’t asked anything yet. I knew exactly what was coming and I was ecstatic. Joe expressed all the things he loved about me, and then he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I think I said yes… :)

Since it is our desire to be married barefoot on a beach overlooking the ocean, we have decided on a tropical destination wedding that will take place at the Shaw Park Beach Resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. We will exchange vows on Thursday, May 7th, 2009.
To our family and friends, we love you so much and we thank you for all you have done for us. Even though Joe and I have decided to spend our special day afar, we will keep you in our hearts! We both are truly grateful for each and every one of you.

Our reception will take place on Saturday, May 16th, which is one week after we return from our Carnival Freedom cruise. The beachside celebration will be held at our family beach condo on Indian Rocks Beach, FL. Our reception will start at 5:00 pm. We will have dinner, drinks and fun in the sand. We both look forward to sharing this lasting memory with each and every one of you.

We are so grateful for everyone and everything in our lives and are so blessed to have you, family and friends, sharing these special moments with us! We are counting the days and are anticipating our romantic Carnival Freedom Wedding/Honeymoon Cruise in the Caribbean! We want to thank all who made this possible! We love you guys!
