Chad and I began dating in August of 2006. We have overcome many obstacles to get where we are now and cannot wait to see what the future holds for us and to spend our new life together!!
The story of our engagement is sort of funny. On January 1, 2008 we set off for Midland for what I thought was just a regular date night. I had been wanting Olive Garden really bad and it took little to convince Chad to take me to Midland (which is a very unusual thing since Chad likes to give me a hard time about pretty much everything I try to plan). So, we arrive at Olive Garden only to hear that we will be waiting for an hour to be seated. When we finally sit down and begin eating, Chad tells me that he has to go to the restroom (right in the middle of our meal!!) Well, after lots of aggrevation from me, he goes to the bathroom (I later find out this is when he sets up the plans with the waitress). We finish our dinner and sit there talking. Three waitresses bring out a huge tray full of desserts to the big party in the room with us. At about the same time I am gazing over at the cheese cake on this tray, all three of these waitresses turn and look at me. Now, I am sitting there thinking… do I have something on my face, or what?!? So... our waitress walks over and sits down a piece of cheesecake WITH MY RING ON TOP OF IT!!! Of course, I am so shocked and beside myself I hand the ring to Chad to clean off and so that he can pop the question, or something! Well, apparently he takes this as me giving the ring back, and saying no. But, I soon asked if he had something to ask, and he did, and of course, I said YES!!!
Soooo… here we are, trying to plan this wonderful wedding and cruise to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Cozumel!!!
