Quentin and Karla met through a mutual friend, Pam Fowler, who is a long-time friend of Karla, and who Quentin got to know through working in a local Richmond City Elementary School. A blind date was arranged, and Quentin and Karla met for the first time at Friday's restaurant where Quentin told corny jokes, and bragged about his ability to flip peas in a sauce pan. Karla kindly laughed at his jokes, and stuck it out to the end!

Three years later, Karla was proposed to on a beautiful moonlit beach under the stars of Rodanthe Island; where she, to Quentin's delight, said yes.

Our wedding will be held at Norfolk Botanical Gardens on the evening of August 11th, 2013.  We are excited to celebrate with all of you, as we begin our lives together. 

The reception will immediately follow our wedding, and will also be held at Norfolk Botanical Gardens.  If you know Karla and Quentin at all, you should expect a fun time with laughter, great company, dancing, and a great time to be remembered by all!
