We were both working at Willis Knighton. I was working night shift and he was working day shift on the same stepdown floor. Travis was nervous about speaking to me because I wore a promise ring from my daddy, so he enlisted the help of our mutual friend. I was going to see a patient on contact precautions so I was outside the patient's room putting on the contact garb such as the gown and gloves. [very glamorous] Just as I thought, "gosh, he is cute. I wish he would come talk to me," low and behold, Travis came up and struck up a conversation.  Once he got home from work, he added me on Facebook and started messaging me. Not long after that he asked for my phone number and asked me out on our first date. Travis has always been a gentleman. He still opens doors for me just like he did on our first date. 

I am so thankful for Travis. Before we met, I had decided to focus on my relationship with the Lord. I prayed that God would send me a man when he thought the time was right and to send me a man that would also make my relationship closer with Him. My Savior did not make me wait long for the man of my dreams. On our first date, he requested that I pray for us and our relationship and that's how I knew God had something amazing in store for the two of us.
