I still remember the first message I received from Felix on Match.com....yes, I said Match.com.  He said he would love to get to know me better so we sent a couple of emails back and forth and then he sent me his number and said "you can give me a call if you want, but I understand if you don't feel comfortable with that."  For some odd reason, I did feel comfortable when before I would never have done something like that.  I just had a feeling that he was a good guy.  The first time we talked on the phone, we talked for hours!  After about a week we started trying to plan our first meeting.  I couldn't wait to meet this guy I had been talking to for weeks!!  We never could get our schedules right for about 2 weeks, but when we finally did it was the best date!!  I will never forget that first date.  Felix had bought me a beautiful orchid in a huge vase.  It was the first time in a very long time that I truly laughed.  Felix has a great sense of humor and I felt like I had known him all my life.  I guess it was because we talked on the phone for hours everyday.  I knew from that day on that this was the kind of man I had been looking for all my life!!

Since we have a family to support, our wedding is going to be very simple but full of love!!  We plan on having it at my mom and dad's house with my dad's best friend, who is a pastor, marrying us.  My daughter, Sydney; my sister, Lisa Shelton; and my best friend, Carrie Kennedy, are all going to be my maids of honor.  Felix is having his two brothers, Derek Bonilla & Joesph Cruz, along with his best friend Mike Steck, to be his best men.  I want my son, Will, to walk me to Felix and give me away.  It will be at 2:00 pm at 2408 Scarlet Lane, Conyers, GA 30013.  This is definitely not the traditional wedding, but it's OUR wedding and all we care is that we get married and spend the rest of our lives together.  We will have a reception at the house, also with our close family and friends.  We hope that all of our family and friends can make it and celebrate our marraige with us.

Our fairytale honeymoon is a cruise to anywhere...hopefully the Bahamas!!!  Neither one of us have been on a cruise before, so we would love to experience the excitement of what all a cruise offers.  We would love to go snorkling, swimming with the dolphins, shopping (and actually being able to buy things...hahaha), and just experience the Bahamas and all of its beauty together as husband and wife!!! 

We are looking forward to our new married life.  We thank God he put us in each other's path.  It's rare when you finally find that special person that you know will always be there for you through thick and thin.  When you do find that person, it is an amazing feeling.  I don't think it was an accident we met each other.  God put us in each other's life for a reason.  He knew that the two of us would have that special kind of love that you see in the movies.  It takes a special person to come into the life of another who already has children and love them as if they were his own.  Felix is that person!!  He is a great father to my kids.  Between the two of us, we complement each other.  Felix has finally found someone who can handle his HUGE personality, and Kristi has finally found that one guy who will treat her like his queen.  We look forward to growing old together.
