We’ll enjoy this spectacular and insightful tour of Ancient Herculaneum in Naples and learn about its history! While walking through the old streets of this ancient city, we’ll witness its various construction styles and qualities, view statues and marble furniture inside of old homes walled with colorful mosaics. In the Baths, we’ll walk over bridges, look into tunnels witnessing how well these excavations have been preserved and visit the Cameo Factory to see how this delicate work is done!

Country Home in Konavle

Together, we’ll discover a home-style taste of Dubrovnik in the countryside of Konavle! After passing through quaint villages, we’ll arrive in the village of Poljica where the Glavic family will welcome us into their home. We’ll learn the family has been producing grape brandy, olive oil and wine for generations while exploring the Croatian home at our own leisure. In the friendly atmosphere of the dining room, an authentic homemade Croatian lunch with wine will be served to us while two local musicians serenade us!

We’ll drive past the Aurelian Walls witnessing St. Paul’s Basilica and arriving at Piazza Venezia we’ll explore the monument of King Victor Emanuel II, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine. In a local Roman restaurant, we’ll feast on inauthentic lunch then drive to the Catacombs where we’ll walk through a maze of tunnels where Christians practiced their religion in secret and bury their dead.
