Visit the 3rd largest Maya temple in the country. Take a short 45-minute air-conditioned motor coach through the scenic countryside of historic Creole villages of Belize. When you arrive, enjoy the adventure of exploring the ancient history of the Maya civilization. Your certified guide will thrill you help you explore the plazas and temples of Altun Ha and provide you with interesting facts of the Maya daily life style and cultural ceremonies. The main temple of the Masonry Altars is where the famous ten-pound jade head of the Sun God Kinich Ahau was found by archaeologists in the tomb of a Royal Priest. The jade head is one of Belize’s national treasures. Weather permitting, you may climb the stone steps of the temples and enjoy the panoramic view of the plazas and countryside. Before heading back to the port, enjoy a walk through the artesian village where you can learn about the hardwood creations and arts and craft that local villagers are selling. On your way back to the port enjoy a complimentary drink after this unbelizeable adventure that gets you back in time for more shopping at the port.

Stingray Beach: only a 5-minute free taxi ride from the pier. Guides provide a briefing on how to safely interact with these gentle creatures, followed by two main activities; the Encounter & the Snorkeling. Guides show you how to safely hold the food as the toothless rays suck down the herring, mashing it between two cartilage plates. Feel their incredibly smooth and silky skin as you rub the underside of their wings. After a 30-min encounter, enjoy snorkeling with more rays in a larger protected enclosure, where you’ll swim with parrot fish, starfish, crabs, and our new Nurse Sharks. See a new 800 coral reef installation of 10 Artificial Marine. Also, try the water trampoline, a kid favorite. A free taxi takes you back to your ship or downtown for shopping.
