Dolphin Encounter and Tabyana Beach Day

We'll combine a once in a lifetime encounter with Atlantic bottle-nosed dolphins with a relaxing day in paradise, where jungle meets powdery white sand beach and crystal clear waters. On this excursion we will: Learn about these amazing creatures as the informative staff conducts an educational orientation. Enter the water, with a trainer, and meet our new friends. Have the opportunity to ask questions, play with and learn about dolphins. Continue our day on a pristine beach, have access to private sun loungers, fresh water showers with changing/restroom facilities, and a local gift shop, bar. Enjoy the sounds of great Caribbean, snorkel in the inviting Caribbean waters and see the stunning, unspoiled coral. Take part in a friendly game of volleyball followed by a cool glass of iced tea or homemade lemonade. Take a walk along the beach, or just lay in the sun.

Mayan Ruins of Tulum (Ultramar)

WE'll experience the ancient Mayan paradise kingdom rising high above the magnificent crystal blue Caribbean Sea. It's a 7-hour trip where we'll see three towering walls and a steep cliff protect this ceremonial center. Our adventure begins with a 45-minute ride aboard a fast ferry to Playa del Carmen, where we'll board an air-conditioned motor coach. Then, we'll enjoy a narrated and informative one-hour ride to Tulum, with a 30-minute restroom stop along the way at a local Mayan cooperative center where hand crafted souvenirs can be purchased. Upon arrival at the ruins, our bilingual guide will escort us on a 45-minute narrated tour of the walled Mayan city of Tulum. We'll visit the famous castle ruins situated on a spectacular 40 ft. bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea and the Temple of the Frescos known for its detailed carved figures and frescoes, depicting original Mayan paintings and writings. We will also see the Temple of the Descending God, the House of Chultun and the House of Columns. After our guided tour, we will have approximately 1½ hours of free time to explore the ruins on our own and take photos or enjoy the crystal clear waters and white powder sand beach adjacent to the ruins. We will relax during the drive back to Playa del Carmen while enjoying a light snack and a soda or bottled water.

On this exciting excursion we will: Experience the thrill of swimming deeper than we could snorkeling, without the burden of scuba gear or the need for a certification. Start with a short walk to the Snuba headquarters and listen to a short briefing on the easy-to-use Snuba gear. Enter the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea and venture beneath the waves as graceful tropical fish swim around us. Follow our guide to some beautiful coral formations with many multicolored species of fish. Finally, we'll see a large shipwreck! We'll watch the experienced guides feed the fish and look out for the resident tarpon that inhabit the reef.
