Discover the magic of a "cocina criolla” by spicing up your day during this exciting historical walk and gastronomical experience where you will learn about the historical facts of ancient old San Juan and taste the rich flavors of Puerto Rican cuisine. You will start the walking journey and get acquainted with the history while you familiarize with important details of the Puerto Rican culture. Your guide will walk you through important historical sites like Museum of Casa Don Q, the San Juan Gate, the Princess Pathway and Prison to name a few. Then after you are familiarized with important details of the mysteries that the cobblestone streets provide, you will also visit the fabulous shopping district and you will be able to purchase anything from the Puerto Rican coffee to unique pieces of art. You will then go on to experience the gastronomical experience where your chef awaits to guide you in preparing your own native dish: Mofongo. Freshen up your thirst with a delicious Mojito cocktail, become a Chef for a day and find out how this incredible Puerto Rican meal is made. NOTE: We recommend comfortable walking shoes and light clothing.

SEA TREK HELMET DIVING & SNORKELING

Enjoy an amazing helmet diving experience that’s as simple as walking and breathing – no training or swimming required! On this exhilarating excursion you will: Follow the friendly Sea Trek staff from your ship to the water shuttle for a 10-15 minute ride to the Sea Trek underwater park. Get organized into groups and, after listening to a safety briefing, the real fun begins. Don your helmet and follow your guide into the water; your hair stays dry and you can even wear your prescription glasses. As you walk along the seafloor, you’ll see shipwrecks, historical cannons, a sunken Odyssey submarine, and an abundant variety of fish, corals and marine life. Get your picture taken in the Pirate Jail and have a toast at the King Neptune Café! Have time to snorkel, swim, relax on a noodle, catch some rays, or lounge in the shade, before or after your dive (and while other groups dive). View your underwater photos and purchase a CD of your Sea Trek adventure. Guests will be dropped off at water taxi pier to go back to ship.

Take a short ride to the historic Wingfield Estate where your spectacular 4-zipline adventure takes place. Listen to a short orientation and training session. Hop into a Land Rover for the trek up the famous Valley of the Giants, where you may encounter monkeys frolicking among the wild fruit trees. Take in the panoramic views of Brimstone Hill National Fortress, Old Road Village, the Caribbean Sea, and Mount Liamuiga en route to your first zipline. Sit back and enjoy the bird’s eye view as you glide, up to 1,400 feet across, using the most technologically advanced zipline equipment in the world; this system utilizes a cutting edge four point paragliding harness, hands free braking, and a patented Skyline Trolley and Catch-Block System. Zip across valleys and over a stream, through tunnels of vegetation to your landing point. EXCURSION DETAILS PRINT Your tour starts when you are picked up in a safari themed truck that takes you on a short ride through beautiful Cockburn Town to the private Bajari Beach Club where your adventure takes place. Your friendly guides will then give you a safety briefing and outfit you with your snorkel gear before your tour begins. A short boat ride takes you to the edge of the famous 7000 foot wall called Columbus Passage which becomes a part of your ocean playground. A thrilling way to navigate the ocean like only 007 could. This machine helps you to glide stealthily and effortlessly through the ocean propelled by your hand held power scooter. Relive the scene from the James Bond movie as you are your own secret operative exploring the mysterious ocean for its hidden secrets. Your power scooter helps you explore more reefs and cover more area than regular snorkeling. So enjoy exploring the expansive reef and the many variety of fish that call it home. A delicious lunch of local Caribbean cuisine awaits you after you quest. Indulge in the spices of the island in this meal specially prepared for you by our chef. Top off your day by lounging on the white sand beach this island is famous for. Rent a beach float, sip on a tropical drink or just stick your toes I the sand and relax at your leisure until it’s time for your safari truck take you back to the pier.
