This tour starts with a charming horse-drawn carriage ride along the Caribbean Sea. You will stop at the Memorial and Baron Bliss Lighthouse and see what was once a great colonial mansion that later became the country's first private hospital. You will pass the Memorial Park, created in honor of the Belizean heroes that went to fight in World War I and II, with its vibrant arts and craft pavilion. You’ll also see original canons from the battleships of English buccaneers and the Central Bank of Belize that resembles the grand Mayan temples of Belize, right in the heart of the city, before a visit to what was formerly Her Majesty's Prison that was built in 1857 and is now the Museum of Belize. There will be a stop at the Caribbean Shores Park to take some memorable pictures, followed by an open-air motorized carriage ride that will take you to the Green Patch Nursery where you can learn more about medicinal herbs and local plants and taste some traditional food and wine. You’ll also visit St. John's Cathedral, the site of the coronation of four Mosquito Kings, and take a ride over one of the only working, manually operated swing bridges in the world. The relaxed pace and small group on your tour gives you plenty of time to ask questions and take some incredible pictures.
