What better way for Dennis and I to start our Honeymoon than by diving right in! See what I did there? We got a small taste of underwater adventure on our visit to Vieques and have been excited to get back to it ever since. "Once everybody’s comfortable in the shallow sea water there will be no need to get out again before you make your reef dive; our ‘house reef’, Cheeseburger Reef, is just a few fins kicks away, with a maximum depth of 35-40 feet. It consists of many grottoes, overhangs and beautiful corals and teems with marine life. It is common to have large silver tarpon fish swimming with us; we frequently observe sea turtles and stingrays, and there are always plenty of angelfish, butterfly fish, parrot fish, sergeant majors and blue tangs to keep us company. This dive site is the perfect location for first-time divers due to its warm, crystal-clear water, lack of current and ease of access. Your dive will finish right back where you started, in shallow water, where your instructors will assist with removing gear. There are showers and changing rooms available and a full restaurant above where you can sit and enjoy a beverage and lunch as you overlook the Caribbean Sea. Or, if you’d prefer to spend the rest of your day lounging in the sunshine, we have a small beach alongside the dive center that also gives access to some great snorkelling. "
