Enjoy an educational encounter with the southern stingrays that make their home at Half Moon Cay. On this exciting excursion you will: Take a short tram ride to Stingray Cove for your short orientation where you will learn about the stingrays' behaviors, habitat, feeding, breeding and other fascinating features. After your briefing, put on your snorkel equipment and enter the wading area with your guide. Have the incredible experience of touching the rays' silky wings and be able to feed these amazing creatures. Learn that a safety net ensures that no other marine life enters the stingrays' enclosure. After the conclusion of your swim/snorkel experience, take a tram ride back to the Fort San Salvador Welcome Center

SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS

See how remarkably intelligent and friendly dolphins can be when you take a swim with them! On this excursion you will: Experience how remarkably intelligent and friendly dolphins can be when you swim with them. Your interactive program begins with a 20-minute bus ride from the pier to Port Lucaya. Upon arrival at the UNEXSO facility, you will board a boat and enjoy a 20-minute ride through Grand Bahama Island’s beautiful canal system or along the island’s South Shore, depending on weather conditions. Arrive at Sanctuary Bay, a 9-acre natural lagoon and home to fourteen Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins, where you will listen to an educational briefing provided by the well-trained staff before entering the water for your dolphin swim. You can swim alongside the dolphins, plunge underwater to play, or race against them above the surface. You’ll have the opportunity to perform behaviors with the dolphins, hug and kiss them. Photographers will be on hand to capture these special moments. After your dolphin swim (time permitting), purchase lunch or a snack at the Dive In Bar & Grill, take a dip in the 17 foot deep pool, or browse the gift shop.

See the sights of Nassau! First see the Parliament Buildings built around 1860 and take photos of the statue of Queen Victoria. Then make a 30 minute photo stop at Atlantis before driving through Potter’s Cay where you might see as one of the fish vendors processing the conch (local seafood delicacy) and fruit vendors selling their locally grown produce. Make your way through downtown, drive by Gregory’s Arch and Government House. Take a look at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, the Chocolate Factory and the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas. Then your guide will delight you with the history of Junkanoo music, and the annual parades. At John Watling’s Distillery (formerly Buena Vista Estate 1789) guests can sample different local rums.
