We announced our engagement in February 2019 following a beautiful trip to Gatlinburg TN. Doug had planned not only a birthday celebration, but also a surprise proposal. The 18 months together had flown by but it seemed as if we had known each other forever.  "Meant to be" is how we describe the fortune of finding one another. Against the odds, we found the one to laugh with, cry to, hold close and even challenge to become even better versions of ourselves. Since that special winter weekend, we have blended our lives and our families into a wonderful new unit. In May 2020, we will stand before our immediate family members to begin our happily ever after.

The wedding day is fast approaching! We will hold a small, private ceremony in front of our children and the immediate family who can attend the event in the beautiful city of Asheville NC.

Back home, we will have the honor of hosting our friends and extended family at other celebrations being held before and after the wedding weekend. The biggest event will be held on May 30th in the Troutman area, where we will enjoy an evening of fun, food, and festivities. We hope all of our loved ones can join us at this reception to celebrate our nuptials. Soon after the event, we will leave for our honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean!
