Although we met years ago, our journey together really began at an amusement park. Brought together by friends, it was established beforehand that it was NOT a date. It was pretty apparent after the first few minutes that, in fact, it WAS a date. From the get-go it was obvious that there was a strong attraction. As we began to talk and get to know each other a little better we found out that there was a real connection. We were intrigued and amazed by each other and couldn't wait for more.
That first date at the amusement park turned into dinner and then a long phone conversation into the night. From then on we couldn't get enough. We talked and texted daily and although we lived in different states, began commuting as often as possible just to spend a day or two with one another. We spent every weekend, for the first few months, learning about and discovering each other. It wasn't long before we knew that we were the perfect couple. So much in common and at the same time so much in contrast, in just the right areas; complimenting each other perfectly.
Before long we found out we couldn't do the long distance thing any more. We needed to be together and we needed to do it soon. There was no doubt about it. Mike was able to get a transfer to Reno and moved within a couple months. We haven't regretted it for a second and continue to be happier and more in love every day.
We're SO excited to join together in marriage and share our lives with each other. We know what a serious commitment that is and with our eyes and hearts wide open, we can't wait for the future to come! |
