Sunday we took our first walk on the canal and while doing so thought about where we would like to do the ceremony.  There are so many options it's hard to choose but I think we have narrowed it down to three.  Here soon we will probably go back for round two and at that point decide.  In the mean time it was a beautiful day and I love taking walks with my guys.

I have spent the past two weeks looking for the perfect wedding cake toppers.  During the process I found some very unique ones, (I think the horse and unicorn is my favorite of gawdy of the gawdy toppers)  But over all it's slim pickins.  Most places have generic hearts and LOVE that you can stick in the middle of your cake, occasionally you will stumble on a colored bride and groom with clown faces and blonde hair (as if everyone is blonde) but that's pretty much it.

So what is up with it?  Do people not use cake toppers anymore?  If not then what is used? flowers?  I don't really want a pollen flavored cake but maybe that's just me.

In the end I finally found the perfect topper.  If anyone wants to know where to go to find one, look in the Greenfield Hallmark store but don't ask the employee for cake toppers because they will tell you they don't have any when they do.

"This day I will marry my friend, the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love"

-The quote written on my perfect topper.

After months and months of back and forth, frustration, anxiety etc etc we have decided.  We know where the wedding will be and how we are handling the reception.  Now that we have that cleared up I can't wait to dive into wedding planning.  September is coming.

Today I went wedding dress shopping with my Mom and Laura.  After trying on a few dresses I found the one.  Better yet...it was on sale so that means it was meant to be.
