 | On this New Year Eve like any other, I was planning to attend service at Freedom of Praise to bring in the New Year. Marvin ask me did I want to go eat at IHOP before we go to church, I replied that would be ok since service didn’t start until 10:30 p.m. We arrive at IHOP at 9:00 p.m. and there was only 2 cars in the parking lot close to the building, but he parked in the overflow parking lot. I didn’t think anything of it, because I thought he was being cute because that was where he parked when we met at IHOP for our first date. He got out the truck to open my door which he does all the time, I should have raised an eyebrow about the back parking lot, but I had no clue. I always tease him that he would never be able to surprise me, because he can’t hold water. Anyway he open the door and handed me a Jared (he went to Jared!!) bag and I thought it was a Pandora charm to go on my bracelet, because he always buying me one. So I open the bag, then open the box……….when I looked up to look at him, he was no longer standing before me, but was on one knee before me. The Words came out of his mouth, WILL YOU MARRY ME? (And please hurry up and answer because my knee is killing me). I guess you know what my answer was. When he placed the ring on my finger he said this Promise Ring is the keep the guys at bay (LOL) until I place The Ring I really want you to have Our Wedding Day. But what I heard was……….

I will make mistakes
I will say stupid things,
I will make some bad decisions
I will get mad
I will get on your nerves at times
I will not always look perfect
